A woman's under arrest, as police investigate the death of a man in Stockton this morning.
Shortly before 7am on Tuesday 31 March, police were called to a property on Church Road.
A man was found by paramedics deceased inside the property. His family has been contacted by police and is being supported by special trained officers.
Police are currently investigation the circumstances leading up to his death.
Officers are currently in the area, and a scene is in place at the property.
A 57-year-old woman was arrested this morning (Tuesday 31 March) on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody for questioning.
Detective Chief Inspector Daryll Tomlinson, from Cleveland Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET), said: “The investigation is in its early stages, and we currently have a scene in place while extensive enquiries are underway.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist us, to please get in touch.
“This also applies to anyone who may have dash cam or doorbell footage that could aid the investigation.
“There will be a visible policing presence in the area, and I’d encourage anyone who is concerned or holds information to please speak to them.”
