6 men charged in connection with murder of Jordan Hogg in Hemlington

Six men have now been charged in connection with the murder of Jordan Hogg in Hemlington in February.

Six men have now been charged in connection with the murder of Jordan Hogg in Hemlington in February.

The men, aged between 17 and 43, have all been charged with murder - with various additional weapons charges between them.

A trial date has been fixed for later this year.

Those men are:

• Sidney Bashford, aged 29, of no fixed address has been charged with murder and possession of a knife.

• Michael Charville, aged 43, of no fixed address, has been charged with murder and possession of a knife.

• Oliver Connelly, aged 27, of Elmhurst Gardens in Middlesbrough, has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

• A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

• Another 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder.

• Ryan Moore, aged 22, of no fixed address has been charged with murder.

A 15-year-old boy who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released with no further action.

A 32-year-old man who was charged with murder has now been released with no further action.

All the men are due to appear at Newcastle Crown Court on Friday 11 April for a pre-trial plea hearing.

Bashford was detained by officers in France and extradited back to the United Kingdom.

A trial date has been provisionally set for Wednesday 1 October.

A 19-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have also been released on conditional bail.

The charges relate to the death of Jordan Hogg, aged 28, on Friday 28 February at Fonteyn Court in Hemlington.
