Two arrested following Dundee protests

Two men have been arrested and are due to appear in court following protests in Dundee.

A 38-year-old man was arrested at Reid Square, on the 28th December, in connection with with threatening and abusive behaviour.

He has been released on an undertaking to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court at a later date.

Police are continuing enquires following the protest.

Reid Square has attracted a number of anti-immigration and counter protests in recent months.

A 58-year-old man was arrested and charged with a disturbance at a premises in Broughty Ferry Road on Monday, 29th December.

He is set to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court today, 31st December.

“We remain committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our communities."
