Man, 24, taken to hospital after Dundee disturbance involving weapons and a car

Detectives are following positive lines of enquiry

A 24-year-old man has been taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment following a disturbance involving weapons and a car in Dundee.

The incident happened at around 1:40pm in the St Clement Place area of the city on Tuesday.

Detectives say they are following extensive positive lines of enquiry following the incident.

Enquires are also ongoing to establish whether a burnt-out vehicle found in the Baldovan Woods area, at around 4:10pm on Tuesday, is connected to the earlier disturbance.

Increased police presence following incident

Detective Inspector Craig Kelly said: “This type of violence has no place on our streets and we are following positive lines of enquiry to identify and arrest those responsible.

“There will be an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues.

“We are aware of videos circulating on social media and would ask anyone with information, footage, or who witnessed the incident, to please contact police.
