Woman in her 30s dies after collision on A419
Incident leaves northbound carriageway closed for investigation
A woman in her 30s has died following a collision that took place this morning on the A419 near White Hart roundabout.
The incident occurred around 8.30am when a Vauxhall Vivaro van collided with a Toyota Aygo. The Toyota is believed to have broken down on the northbound section of the road.
The driver of the Toyota was declared dead at the scene.
Her family has been informed and is currently being supported by officers trained in providing such assistance.
The driver of the van has not reported any serious injuries, and no arrests have been made.
The northbound carriageway will remain closed for several hours as investigations are conducted.
The southbound carriageway has already reopened.
