Woman has handbag snatched while walking in Swindon

A man ran past her and grabbed the bag, causing her to fall over

A woman's had her handbag stolen as she was walking in Swindon - with police releasing a description of a suspect they want to trace.

The victim, in her 30s, was on Shaftesbury Avenue at around 8.30pm on Tuesday last week (22nd April) when a man ran past her.

He grabbed her bag, causing her to fall over.

The man involved is described as:

  • White
  • Medium build
  • Around five feet three inches tall
  • Dressed in dark clothing
