A woman has been charged in connection with a series of high value thefts that occurred at Designer Outlet Swindon.

Raluca Pirvulesc, 36, of Brammas Close, Slough, allegedly shoplifted thousands of pounds worth of products from numerous shops on March 9.

Pirvulesc was arrested and bailed with the condition not to enter the county of Wiltshire.

She will appear at Swindon Magistrates' Court on April 9.

Sergeant Joanna Field said: "Response Team 3 reacted swiftly to reports of a crime in progress and, in partnership with security staff, were able to quickly arrest the suspect.

"This resulted in more than £5,000 worth of stock from seven stores being recovered.

"Wiltshire Police will continue to deal with retail criminality robustly. It is not a victimless crime."
