A woman's been arrested on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control in Swindon - with her dog also seized by police.

It follows a series of attacks in the Moredon area, in which a person and two other dogs were injured on April 11th and 26th, and a cat was killed on 3rd May.

A 33 year old woman remains in custody for questioning.

PC Sam Young of the Swindon Local Policing Tasking Team said: “We appreciate the significant amount of public concern around this dog following multiple incidents, and I can confirm it has been seized.

“I’d also like to thank all the people who called in to identify the suspect following a public appeal on our social media, which has today led to the suspect being arrested.

“She will now be questioned in connection with the incidents.”
