Witness appeal after pedestrian hit by vehicle in Swindon

The victim was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries which are serious but not thought to be life-changing

An appeal for information has been launched by Wiltshire Police after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Swindon.

In a statement, officers said: "At around 9pm on Wednesday (14/05), a pedestrian – a man in his 20s – was involved in a collision with a vehicle while crossing a road in the Haydon End area of Swindon.

"He was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries which are serious but not thought to be life-changing.

"We don’t have an exact location, but the collision has taken place near Newson Road.

"The vehicle failed to stop at the scene. We unfortunately don’t have a description of the vehicle.

"We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact us on 101 quoting reference 54250058604.
