Wiltshire Council launches online landlord forum ahead of Renters' Rights Act changes
Quarterly event to provide expert advice and discuss legislative impacts
Wiltshire Council is inviting landlords throughout the county to join the newly launched Wiltshire Landlord Forum, a quarterly online event designed to offer expert guidance and updates on legislative changes impacting the private rented sector.
The forum's inaugural session is set for 24th September at 2pm, focusing on Phase 2 of the Renters' Rights Act.
Participants will gain insights into upcoming changes, such as the introduction of the Private Rented Sector Ombudsman and Private Landlord Database.
This includes discussions on compliance requirements and the effect these changes may have on the management of rented homes.
The event allows landlords, letting agents, and housing professionals to pose questions regarding broader Act implementation and regulatory expectations.
Wiltshire Council will outline its approach to the private rented sector, sharing insights into enforcement policies, local priorities, and county-wide trends.
The forum will feature a specialist presentation followed by a Q&A session, where participants can submit questions before, during, or after the event via email.
