Engineers continue working to repair a burst pipe in Swindon which has continued to disrupt a number of households this morning (19 May).

Thames Water say it happened between The Croft and Wichelstowe on Sunday - but add these works should be complete by no later than 1pm this afternoon.

Bosses said: "While we complete the repair, we’re using tankers and adjusting the network to bring water in from other areas, so as many customers as possible can turn on their taps again. You may see lower pressure than normal during peak usage times and we apologise for this inconvenience to your morning.

"We know how inconvenient it is if you lose your water supply, so we’ll work hard to get things back to normal as soon as we can.

"As soon as we’ve confirmed everything’s back to normal, we’ll be back with an update, this will be no later than 1pm.

"Thank you for your patience and apologies for any disruption this may have caused to your Sunday evening."
