Two teenagers have been arrested following a knifepoint robbery in Swindon.
A 16-year-old boy was at Croft Playing Fields with his ebike yesterday afternoon (26 February), when he was approached by two males at around 4.25pm, who demanded he hand over his bike.
One of the males then pulled a knife from his waistband and pointed it at the victim, who suffered an injury to his hand.
Two boys, aged 16, have been arrested - one on suspicion of robbery, possession of a class B drug and dangerous driving, who has been released on conditional bail. The second male was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
He remains in custody for questioning.
Inspector Jamie Brown from Wiltshire Police said: “This was a frightening ordeal for the victim who had put his bike on the ground whilst he played football, only to notice two males coming towards him and making threats for him to hand over the bike.
“Thanks to the swift response of our officers, two individuals were quickly arrested as part of our ongoing investigation.
“ We are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have information that could assist our enquiries.”
