Two people arrested after disturbance in Swindon

Both suspects are currently in police custody.

Police attended Swindon Magistrates Court this morning following a reported disturbance involving a number of people.

A man was arrested on suspicion of breach of the peace.

A further arrest of someone associated with the same group was made at Gablecross Police Station on suspicion of using abusive language directed at a member of police staff.

Both suspects are currently in police custody.

Swindon Hub Commander Supt Lucy Thorne: “We will not tolerate any abusive language or behaviour directed at our staff - who are here to serve the public. It is unacceptable We will not hesitate to deal with anyone engaging in such activity swiftly and robustly.”
