Two men have been charged with hare coursing following an incident in fields near Pewsey.
Officers were called to fields near Stanton St Bernard at approximately 3.15 on January 2 following reports of two men believed to be hare cousing.
A vehicle was located in fields by police and two men were seen to decamp and head in the direction of Alton Barnes White Horse.
Police carried out and two men were located with three lurchers.
Thomas Ball, 34, of Queensway North, Hersham and Franky Smith, 31, of Cobbetts Close, Normandy, both Surrey, have been charged with being equipped for searching for or pursuing hares with dogs, and trespass with intent to search for or to pursue hares with dogs.
They have been released on bail and will appear at Swindon Magistrates Court on February 18.
