What police have said
Insp Jamie Brown said: “We will not tolerate assaults on paramedics, police officers, or any other emergency service workers who are there to help and protect members of our communities.
“These people put themselves in difficult situations every day to provide urgent care and support to those in need and to be met with violence whilst carrying out their duty is totally unacceptable.”
