My Dad's Bigger Than Your Dad festival was at risk of cancelation and now will return to Old Town Bowl in Swindon, Wiltshire, on 26th July for the fifth year in a row!

The occasion, in honour of former publican and local legend, Dave Young, raises money for Prospect Hospice. The charity supported him and his family during his battle with Cancer back in 2021.

Now set for 2025, the public plea for ticket sales has saved the day and the festival is a go once more!

Since it began in 2021, the festival has raised over £40,00 for chosen charity Prospect Hospice.

Although the festival has drawn in many spectators in the past years, fewer tickets sold caused concern for organisers, it was thought that the festival might have to close its doors.

Aaron Doswell, festival organiser and family friend of the Youngs said this: "Everything made in this festival goes toward Prospect, so its pretty special and important to others."

"We don't take any money out of this festival."

Aaron explains the local reaction to the cancelation was incredible and thanks those who have bought tickets.

The day is set to be full of fun and festivities for the whole of the family, catering for all ages with live music, food and activities the countdown is back on!
