Teen charged after stabbing at Swindon skatepark
A 16-year-old remains in hospital as 17-year-old faces court
A 17-year-old boy has been charged following an incident at a Swindon skatepark that left a 16-year-old with serious injuries.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in public.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Swindon Magistrates today, Wednesday 15th January.
Skatepark stabbing
The charges relate to an incident at a skatepark near the former Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon on 14th January, where the younger boy was stabbed.
The 16-year-old remains in hospital and is being treated for serious injuries.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to call 101 and quote log 110 of 14th January.
