Swindon woman pleads guilty to attempting to import cannabis into UK

A Swindon woman has pleaded guilty after attempting to import more than 10kg of cannabis into the UK.
37 year old Amy Dunn, of Queens Drive, Swindon appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court, this is after a parcel from Connecticut, USA, addressed to a Charlotte Thompson in Queens Drive, Swindon was identified.
The parcel was recovered by officers from the Swindon Local Policing Tasking Team (LPTT), and when opened was found to contained 10.8kg of high-quality skunk cannabis in 24 separate packages.
She was bailed ahead of sentencing on August 27.
