Swindon Town sign midfielder Jack Thomson for two-year contract
Jack said he thought it was the "right move" in his career
Swindon Town FC has confirmed that Scottish midfielder Jack Thomson has been signed to play for the club for two years.
Jack had been playing for Scottish Premiership club Kilmarnoch at the previous season, but has now joined Swindon Town for an undisclosed fee.
Whilst competing in the Scottish leagues, the 26-year-old had made several appearances - including two for Rangers' B team, before he joined Clyde.
He also had a short stint in the US, playing with Orange County for the next season, before returning home for the 2021/2022 football season for Queen's Park.
Scoring 133 appearances for the club, the team were able to secure a promotion for the Scottish Championship, with Jack staying at the team for four years, before he moved to Kilmarnoch last summer.
Speaking on his move to The Nigel Eady County Ground, Jack said: “I’m feeling really good, I just can’t wait to get going really.
“I spoke to the Manager, I spoke to some of the boys that have played in England before, and everyone had some really good things to say, so I just thought it would be the right move for me in my career.
“It was a big draw to coming down to England in regard to the amount of games. I think the more games you play, the more chance you have to develop and get better because that’s ultimately why we play football.”
