Swindon Town Football Club has announced the appointment two new directors to its Board, in a move designed to strengthen the club’s leadership structure and support its long-term ambitions.

The club says the appointments of Anthony Hall and Ben Gristwood form part of a strategic plan to build on existing foundations, ensure sound governance, and drive sustainable growth both on and off the pitch.

Anthony Hall, who also serves as the club’s Chief Executive Officer, expressed his pride at joining the Board.

“I’m delighted to be appointed as a director of Swindon Town Football Club,” said Hall. “It’s an honour to play a role in shaping the future of such a historic and passionate club. I look forward to building on the progress made to date and working alongside the board, staff, players, and supporters as we continue our journey towards future success.”

Ben Gristwood, who has been part of the club for 15 years, said he was “thrilled” to take on the new role.

“I’m keen to use my experience in running businesses to help move the club forward,” he said. “I have supported the club on and off the field in a number of ways to help ensure long-term stability. I want nothing more than to see the club thrive and deliver for its fans and the local community of which this club plays a huge part.”

Both Hall and Gristwood have successfully completed the EFL Owners’ and Directors’ Test, confirming their eligibility to serve as directors. The English Football League has been informed of the appointments to ensure full compliance with governance standards.

Swindon Town Chairman and owner Clem Morfuni welcomed the new additions to the Board.

“I have appointed Anthony and Ben as directors to strengthen the board and bring additional expertise to the club,” said Morfuni. “As my workload increases with other business commitments, it is vital that we have strategic leaders in place to support long-term planning and help guide the club on its journey. Their experience and knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to develop the club sustainably and competitively.”

The club said the appointments reinforce Swindon Town’s commitment to transparency, strong governance, and strategic growth, ensuring it is well-positioned for continued progress and success in the years ahead.
