Swindon man sentenced after guilty plea for drink driving

A man from Swindon has been sentenced after admitting drink driving in Pinehurst.

Harrison Cox, 37, of Aldbourne Close, Penhill, appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court on September 3 and was given a 16 month driving disqualification.

In the early hours of 29th July, Cox was seen attempting to evade police in a silver Vauxhall Astra on Whitworth Road.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers suspected Cox was intoxicated.

He failed a breath test and was subsequently arrested.

In addition to the driving ban, Cox was fined £500 and ordered to pay a £200 surcharge and £85 in costs.
