Swindon man fined for fly-tipping in Wiltshire

A man from Swindon has been prosecuted for dumping green waste at a fly-tipping hotspot near Royal Wootton Bassett.

Michael Cole, of The Crescent, pleaded guilty at Swindon Magistrates and was ordered to pay nearly two thousand pounds after CCTV was used to trace a van to him.

The council says sites like this are at risk of becoming repeat dumping grounds if not dealt with.
