Liberte Nambu, a 31-year-old from Wellington Street, Cardiff, has been remanded in custody after admitting to several drug offences in Swindon.

Nambu appeared before Swindon Magistrates Court on 9th March, where he pleaded guilty to charges including possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, cocaine, and heroin, as well as possession of a knife in a public place.

On 8th March, police stopped a vehicle in Alfred Street, Swindon, because of the way it was being driven.

Nambu, the driver, was found to have an outstanding recall to prison.

Upon further searches, authorities discovered cash, four mobile phones, suspected class A drugs, and a knife.

Once in custody, Nambu produced multiple wraps of suspected class A drugs.

Further testing confirmed the presence of cocaine, crack cocaine, and heroin.

Inspector Rich Marshall praised the cooperation between the firearms officers, response colleagues, dog units, and the Volume Crime Team, saying their efforts were pivotal in tackling serious crime in the community.

"This arrest highlights some excellent teamwork by firearms officers, response colleagues, our dog unit and Volume Crime Team," Insp Marshall said.

"Following this vehicle stop, officers seized a substantial amount of class A drugs, a weapon, cash and multiple mobile phones which evidenced extensive drug dealing. I am pleased we have intercepted this drugs line and prevented it from reaching vulnerable people in Swindon."

Nambu will remain in custody until 10th April, when he is due to be sentenced at Swindon Crown Court.
