Swindon hosts summit to encourage businesses to tackle carbon footprints
Greener Business Day offers insights and workshops for eco-conscious firms
Swindon is set to host an environmentally-focused summit this month, welcoming businesses to explore strategies for reducing their carbon footprint during the Greener Business Day.
Following the inaugural Climate and Environment Summit in Trowbridge last year, Wiltshire Council and Wiltshire Climate Alliance are organising this event on Friday, 22nd May, to support regional companies on their decarbonisation journey.
Held at the Workshed from 9.30am to 4.10pm, the event promises expert panels, practical workshops, and exhibits from businesses such as Nationwide, Nanogreen, Wiltshire Energy, Thermo Fisher, Sinewave, and Zurich.
Attendees will have access to discussions on local sustainability success stories, accelerating projects through public-private collaborations, clean energy initiatives, and strategies for creating green offerings.
North Swindon MP Will Stone is slated to deliver the keynote address, complementing the event's focus on sustainable business practices for the future.
This initiative encourages companies to actively participate in building a cleaner, more sustainable business environment throughout Swindon and Wiltshire.
With a diverse range of speakers and topics, the summit aims to foster community-driven approaches to environmental responsibility.
