Wiltshire Police are trying to locate the victim of an assault, following an incident at the McDonald’s in Greenbridge Retail Park.

At approximately 4pm yesterday (1 August), officers received a report of a man assaulting a woman inside the fast-food restaurant.

Before police arrived, the male suspect fled the scene but was swiftly located and detained with the assistance of a member of the public.

The suspect, a 32-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and remains in custody for questioning.

By the time officers arrived at the scene, the female victim had already left, and her identity remains unknown.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "We are appealing for the victim to come forward as soon as possible to allow us to progress the investigation.”
