A police operation in Wiltshire using publicly submitted footage is helping boost road safety in the county.

Operation Snap allows us to send footage to Roads Policing Officers, who can then hold irresponsible drivers to account.

During 2024, 681 clips were sent to the Force.

They led to 80 prosecutions, 120 drivers taking retraining courses and 59 warning letters being issued.

The operation targets carless and dangerous driving such as tailgating, undertaking, and excessive speeding.

It's also seen people caught running red lights and using their mobile phone behind the wheel.

We're asked to keep sending in our footage, as the Force says it's making a real difference.

We can submit footage here.
