Police appeal for witnesses after Swindon robbery

A woman in her 40s has been arrested in connection with the incident

Police are appealing for witnesses after a two teenage girls were reportedly the victims of an assault and robbery in Swindon.

The incident happened at approximately 10.10pm on April 17.

It was reported that two teenage girls were walking by Domino’s at Windbrook Meadows when three people got out of two vehicles passing by and assaulted the victims.

Police say damage was caused to one of the victim’s coats and her mobile phone was stolen.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and a woman in her 40s was arrested on suspicion of robbery, criminal damage and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

She has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Wiltshire Police say a 16-year-old girl has also been interviewed in connection with the incident.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the area around this time who witnessed the incident take place.
