Police appeal after man beaten with metal pole in Swindon
Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident in Penhill
Officers are appealing for information after a man was reportedly beaten with a metal pole during an assault in Penhill, Swindon.
A spokesperson for Wilshire Police said: "At approximately 4.30pm on November 23, two suspects approached a man in his 30s from behind whilst he was walking along Marston Avenue.
"They shouted at the victim and he turned around.
"As he did so, they punched him to the face twice, before assaulting him on the ground with a metal bar."
Both suspects are described as wearing all black clothing and balaclavas and were seen getting into a black Mercedes before driving off from the scene.
Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident take place, or anyone who may have dash cam or doorbell footage which could assist their enquiries.
