A 13-year-old boy is being treated for a head injury after being struck on his head with a hammer on Charlton Close, Penhill.

The teenager was assaulted before having his bike stolen just before 1.30pm yesterday (27 May).

The suspect is described as being a white male, in his 40s, with a ginger beard and wearing a black puffer jacket.

He was with a younger male, aged in his 20s, with blonde hair and wearing a dark coloured tracksuit.

Police are asking anyone with information that could assist their enquiries to get in touch.
