Owen Dunn's family are paying tribute to the teenager, who died two years ago in Swindon.

Yesterday (18 December) marked his 21st birthday - another milestone they say he's not here for.

The anti knife crime charity set up in his name are urging parents to educate yourselves and your children.

Owen was 18 years old when he was attacked by two other teenagers carrying machetes on Mazurek Way, in broad daylight, on 4th December, 2022.

During the trial of Owen's killers, who are now serving life sentences with minimum terms of 19 and 12 years each for murder, it emerged that Owen was also carrying a weapon at the time of his death.

Earlier this year his family backed a campaign calling on parents to "Check your Children" and talk openly to kids about the dangers of carrying knives.

Zoe Mitchell, Owen’s mum, wasn’t aware Owen was in possession of a knife at the time of his death until she was told by the police.

"Owen hope your partying up there and looking down proud. We will keep on in your memory and make sure no one ever forgets you!

"Please wish Owen a Happy Heavenly Birthday, light a candle or pop him some flowers to the memorial.

"Thoughts with Owen’s family and friends today as always."
