Wiltshire Police have confirmed a one-year-old boy has died after a crash at the end of last month on the A303.

The incident happened on Friday, March 28 - involving three vehicles.

They have now issued an appeal for witnesses.

A statement from officers said: "A one-year-old boy has sadly died following a road traffic collision on the A303 at Amesbury at about 5.30pm on Friday 28 March.

"Three vehicles were in collision on the eastbound carriageway, a Skoda Karoq, a Peugeot 208 and a Volvo V70.

"Four other people were injured in the collision.

"Our thoughts are very much with the family of the child who has died at this difficult time.

"We would ask that their privacy is respected.

"Any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam is asked to contact the serious collision investigation team on 01225 694597 quoting log 220 of 28 March."
