Man to appear in court following stabbing at building site in Purton

A man has been charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm (GBH) following a serious assault at a building site in Purton.
James Denys, 36, from Ravensdale, East Wichel, is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning.
The incident occurred on 23rd July at the Widham Gardens building site.
A man in his 20s sustained a life-threatening head injury after being stabbed with a screwdriver.
The victim was hospitalised following the serious assault.
A second man, aged 36, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but has been released on bail.
Police are asking witnesses who have not yet spoken to officers or those with concerns related to the incident to come forward.
