Man charged after stabbing incident in Swindon

Charges include kidnapping and possession of a knife

A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing on Dulverton Avenue in Park North, Swindon.

Marcelino Pacheco, 46, from Radnor Street, Kingshill, faces multiple charges including grievous bodily harm with intent, kidnap, possessing a knife or bladed article in a public place, and harassment.

Pacheco has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning, 5th September.

The charges relate to an incident on Thursday, 3rd September, where a woman in her 30s sustained a stab wound to her shoulder.

The injuries are not considered life-changing.
