Man arrested after incident in Swindon over weekend
A male has been arrested by Swindon police following an incident at a bus stop over the weekend involving a young boy and his family.
Police are investigating which took place on Sunday at around 1:30pm at a bus stop in Cricklade Road, after a man approached a young boy and his family.
They have confirmed that a 27-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "We are aware of an incident which has taken place at a bus stop in Cricklade Road, Swindon, at around 1.30pm yesterday afternoon (26/10), in which a man has approached a young boy and his family.
"A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing to ascertain the full circumstances.
"We do not believe there to have been a wider risk to the public.
"We are aware of posts circulating online about this incident and we would encourage the public not to speculate about it.
