Lydiard Park hosts summer events line-up for the community
Swindon's attraction gears up for diverse activities
Swindon's Lydiard Park is set to host a summer extravaganza with an impressive line-up of events over the coming months.
The park's festivities kick off with Armed Forces Day on 20th June, featuring military demonstrations and opportunities to connect with cadet groups.
Simultaneously, visitors can enjoy the Birds of Prey event in the Walled Garden, with awe-inspiring demonstrations and insights from expert falconers.
Later in June, Paulo’s Circus arrives for ten days of entertainment from 19th to 28th June.
The Lydiard House Museum will celebrate Swindon artist Ken White with a dedicated Ken White Week beginning on 20th June, featuring special exhibitions and activities.
The summer programme continues with the Swindon Balloon Festival from 3rd to 4th July, followed by Immersion Theatre's rendition of Romeo & Juliet on 25th July.
August brings the Great British Food Festival and an Open Air Theatre performance of The Jungle Book at the park.
Creative spirits can participate in a Summer Paint & Sip session on 5th August, while Mad4Animals returns with interactive animal displays on 8th August.
The park rounds off the summer with the Lydiard Garden Party on 22nd August, offering live music, food, and drinks in the historic Walled Garden.
Visitors can also explore regular art and nature activities, including the mystery puzzle at the Lydiard House Museum.
Councillor Matthew Vallender and Councillor Jake Chandler have both spoken enthusiastically about the park's offerings and its role as a key community space.
