Swindon Town is calling on fans to enhance the atmosphere at the Nigel Eady County Ground this Saturday as they face Bristol Rovers with a kick-off scheduled at 12.30pm.

Recent ticket confusion regarding the Town End has arisen, particularly concerning under-18 tickets, which are not available in sections T1 and T2 this season. This decision follows welfare concerns, including reports of young supporters being injured during goal celebrations.

A spokesperson for Swindon Town said, "The restriction is in place to safeguard the health, safety and well-being of our young supporters."

Adults can still purchase tickets for T1 or T2 in person at the club shop or via phone, while online purchases are available for seats in T4 and T5. "We understand the importance of providing clarity and ease in ticket purchasing," the spokesperson added.

Concerns were raised by T3 season ticket holders about the welfare of younger supporters and inappropriate behaviour in the area. Consequently, matchday sales for this section are restricted to accompanied children and over-65s, subject to availability for the remaining matches.

Swindon Town urges supporters to sit in the seats indicated on their tickets, addressing recent instances of fans moving from T4 and T5 into other sections, which poses safety risks and inconveniences. "We ask everyone to respect the seating arrangements in place to ensure a safe environment for all fans," the spokesperson reiterated.

The club seeks the patience and understanding of supporters as they continue to refine processes for clarity and ease. "We appreciate our supporters' patience and will continue reviewing processes to make improvements wherever possible," the spokesperson said.

With the West Country fixture approaching, efforts are focused on creating a supportive environment. James Rees, a longstanding fan, collaborates with TrustSTFC and the club to boost the atmosphere. Rees said, "Saturday presents an opportunity to make the Nigel Eady County Ground a fortress and give the players the backing they deserve."

As the teams take the field, 250 red and 250 white streamers will be launched, creating a striking visual display. Flags from previous seasons will also make a return, complemented by supporters in other stands being encouraged to bring and wave scarves. "The message is simple: arrive early, take your seat, raise your voices, and help create an atmosphere that can drive the team on against Bristol Rovers," Rees emphasized.
