Fundraiser launched for funeral of nurse Sarah Crook after fatal A419 cras
Community rallies to support family following tragic accident
A fundraising campaign has been launched to support the family of Sarah Crook, a nurse and mother-of-six, following her untimely death in a car collision on the A419 flyover at White Hart Roundabout.
The accident occurred around 8.30am on Friday, 5th June, when Sarah Crook's car was struck by a van, resulting in her death.
Sarah, who worked at Great Western Hospital, has been remembered by hundreds as a caring, compassionate, and dedicated nurse.
The fundraising effort has been initiated by her friend and fellow nurse, Leanne Fertnig, to help cover funeral costs.
The donations have reached £6,390 as of today.
On the GoFundMe page, Fertnig expressed her wish to assist Sarah’s family during this difficult time.
"I would like to help Sarah’s family at this devastating time. Sarah was one in a million, she was so kind and would help anyone. She leaves behind her husband and six wonderful children.
"Nothing could ever take away the pain that her family will feel from such a loss, but if we could offer a small comfort by helping with the expensive funeral costs and giving Sarah the send-off she deserves it would be much appreciated.
"Sarah, you will be truly missed, you will leave a hole in the hearts of so many."
Individuals wishing to contribute can donate through the fundraiser's page.
