The Football Club hosted four sessions alongside architects Anderson and Prescott and developers, Turley Associates last week, including three sessions on Tuesday 22 April and one session on Wednesday 23 April.

The next steps

The Trust vote is scheduled for Wednesday 7 May, and the club say it's important that they answer some of the questions proposed at the public consultations and are transparent as they look to enter the next phase of the redevelopment.

They say they've chosen the Don Rogers Stand, which was built over 30 years ago, 'for a number of reasons', including the return on investment, as neither the Stratton Bank or Town End holds no commercial or financial return in our current position in League Two.

They also last used the Stratton Bank in December 2023 when they faced Wrexham on Boxing Day.

Bosses also believe starting the Don Rogers stand will put them on a forward trajectory to a more sustainable future.

£3 million

It's expected to cost the club around £3 million for the new development, which is expected to last between 12 and 18 months.

They say they'll get a return on this investment 'within six years'.

'Passionate fans'

Following the consultation, Anthony Hall said: “I’d like to thank all of the supporters who attended our sessions last week. It was an important session for the club to host, where we could really take fans feedback extremely seriously and listen to questions supporters will have.”

“We understand that the Nigel Eady County Ground is in desperate need of improved facilities while also helping build a more sustainable future for the football club, and we will be able to achieve this with the plans that we have been working on alongside Anderson and Prescott.”

“We were able to speak to plenty of passionate fans, who in an open forum was able to consult with us as a club on any feedback, concerns or questions they may have and it’s important we are transparent about how exciting this next chapter can be for the club with our vision for this first phase of the redevelopment.”

While our public consultations have been completed, the club are still allowing supporters to contact the club for direct consultations and appointments, which supporters can do so by emailing [email protected].
