Officers are trying to establish how the money ended up in a rural spot
Police are appealing for information after a quantity of cash was discovered in a rural part of the Blunsdon area of Swindon.
The cash was found by a member of the public walking their dog, and handed over to police.
Officers are now seeking to establish the circumstances surrounding the discovery and identify the rightful owner.
Anyone who believes they may have lost a significant amount of cash in a rural setting is encouraged to contact Wiltshire Police.
The force say anyone who comes forward will need to provide specific information not publicly released, such as the amount, denominations, packaging, location, and the circumstances in which the money was lost.
The dog walker who found the money is also being thanked by police for handing it in to them.
