Woman dies in Uckfield crash
The 25-year-old was taken to hospital on Wednesday with serious injuries after her car collided with another vehicle on the A26 in Herons Ghyll.
A woman who was injured in a crash on the A26 near Uckfield on Wednesday has died.
Emergency services were called to the collision between two vehicles at Herons Ghyll at around 2.45pm on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old local woman's car collided with another driver, a 64-year-old local man, who sustained minor injuries.
The woman was taken to hospital where she sadly died from her injuries. Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
An investigation is ongoing into the circumstances of the incident, and anyone with relevant information is asked to report it to Sussex Police.
