Two West Sussex roads have been closed as emergency services attend to a house fire.

Hammy lane and Fairfield close, Shoreham are closed as fire crews continue to tackle a building fire near southlands hospital.

Fames broke out at around 10.21am this morning (15 July) in the roof of a property on Fairfield Close.

Four fire engines were sent to the scene and quickly got to work extinguishing the fire using two high pressure hose reels and two jets.

A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said: “Drivers are urged to avoid the area due to the number of emergency service vehicles in attendance, and people living nearby should keep their windows and doors closed for the time being.”

There is no confirmation of any injuries at this time.
