A teenager has died following a crash on the A27 near Wilmington.

On Tuesday, September 30, just before 11pm, a serious collision between two vehicles was reported to police.

Emergency services attended, and sadly the driver of one car, an 18-year-old man from Heathfield, was confirmed to have died.

A 26-year-old man from Eastbourne, the driver of the second car, sustained a serious injury and remains in hospital.

The A27 has reopened following an earlier closure between Polegate and the Drusillas roundabout.

An investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing, and officers are asking anyone with information or who has relevant dash cam footage, to make a report to police.
