A Sussex man says he has racked up around £3000 in credit card debt after becoming stuck in Dubai.

Daniel Moon - who has diabetes - estimates he's spent hundreds on calls to arrange a flight back home, and splashed more cash on vital medication, accommodation and food.

The 46 year old was intending to visit the country for five days, when his return flight was cancelled as war broke out.

He's hoping to return home today after two weeks and five cancelled flights - and told Greatest Hits Radio he's now stressed on how long it might take to get his money back:

"I bought a folder in the end, I've got 100 receipts.

"You have to keep track of everything you buy.

"I'm not worried about it being on cards too much.

"I'm more worried about when I'm going to get that money back to pay - because you're going to have to cop interest on the cards."

He added that he's seen others downgrade their hotels in order to afford the added costs.

"Reimbursement could be six to nine months down the line with previous experience so the stress doesn't end here."
