Shopworker assaulted during armed robbery in Polegate

One of the suspects allegedly made threats with a knife

A shopworker's been assaulted during an armed robbery in Polegate.

Two men entered the Millfields Store in Station Road at around 7.30pm on Monday (18th November).

One of the suspects is alleged to have threatened the victim with a knife, with a small amount of cash taken from the store.

There's now an appeal for information to passed on to Sussex Police, with CCTV images released of two men that officers want to trace.

The first suspect is described as:

  • Aged about 16 or 17
  • Around five feet seven or eight inches tall
  • Wearing a shiny black puffer-style coat
  • Face covering
  • Black trousers
  • Black trainers

The second suspect is described as:

  • A similar age
  • Around five feet five or six inches tall
  • Wearing a black coat
  • Black Adidas tracksuit bottoms with three white stripes running down the leg

The pair left the area on foot via School Lane after the incident.

Sussex Police say they're supporting the victim and want to hear from anyone with information about the incident, or the identities of the people pictured.

Officers are also looking to gather CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage that could help with enquiries.
