Police appeal for witnesses after driver fails to stop at scene

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 17-year-old boy was seriously injured in a collision in Chichester.

The teenager was riding a scooter when he was involved in a collision with a dark-coloured car, which failed to stop at the scene. The incident took place on Thursday 25 September, between 2pm and 2.30pm, on St Pancras, near the junction with New Park Road.

The boy suffered a serious head injury and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

As part of ongoing enquiries, Sussex Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has relevant dash cam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage, to get in touch.

Officers are particularly keen to identify and speak to the drivers of two dark-coloured cars who may have been in the area at the time.
