Motorbike and moped riders in Worthing are being urged to keep their vehicles secure, after a series of thefts across the last three months.
Thirteen bikes were stolen in December last year, with nine going missing January and 15 in February.
Two local teenagers, aged 13 and 14, were arrested in connection with the theft of a moped in Downview Road on 22 February.
They have been released on conditional bail until 23 May.
Sussex Police say they recognise the impact these thefts are having on victims.
Inspector Sharon Sawyer, of the Adur, Worthing and Horsham Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “I’d like to reassure the community that we will actively explore any lines of enquiry with any crimes reported to us.
“If you have any information relating to any of these thefts, please report it online or call us on 101, quoting Operation Magnus.
"Or, if you witness any suspicious activity or a crime in action, you can call us on 999.”
