Sussex Police say it's "desperate" to bring closure to the family of a missing Worthing woman as it marks the 8th year of her disappearance.

Georgina Gharsallah was last seen on the the morning of the 7th of March 2018 after leaving her mum's home to go and get her phone fixed.

The then 30-year-old was spotted on CCTV at Clifton Food and Wine in Worthing - before never being seen again.

"I care deeply about Georgina," said Senior Investigating Officer Andy Wolstenholme.

"Eight years is an incredibly long time for a family to be without their loved one, and it's an incredibly long time for me as an investigator to still be searching for answers for that family and trying to bring some closure to them."

He added that its "not too late" for someone to come forward with a "crucial" missing piece to their investigation.

"We're certainly at a time where we have fewer investigative opportunities than we did at the start, but it continues to be the case that we review all of the material that comes in."

Georgina's mum, Andrea, said: "In the beginning, it was hoping Georgina was going to come home and turn up at the door.

""Now, it seems that is a big hope to hold onto."
