People across Sussex are being asked to share how safe they feel and what they think the future of policing should look like.

Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne has launched her annual Safer in Sussex Survey.

What the survey covers

The survey asks for views on how safe people feel in Sussex, and how easy it is to access police services both in person and online.

It also asks about future changes to policing, including the use of technology and governance arrangements.

The Commissioner said feedback would help inform local policing priorities, influence national conversations on policing reform, and help keep Sussex Police visible, accessible and effective.

What the Commissioner said

Sussex PCC Katy Bourne said: "The views of Sussex residents are at the heart of effective policing.

"This short survey is an opportunity for you to tell me how safe you feel, how easy it is to access police services and what you think the future of policing should look like.

"Every response matters and will help me inform both local priorities and wider conversations about policing, especially now the Government is considering major changes to our current county constabulary model. I do hope you'll take a few minutes to get involved and share your views with me."

How to take part

The survey takes around three to five minutes to complete.

It will run until 23:59 on 30th November 2026.
