Firefighters tackle house fire on New Church Road in Hove

Crews are working to extinguish the blaze, with residents advised to stay clear

Fire crews are tackling a domestic dwelling fire on New Church Road in Hove, after being called to the scene at 4:47 this morning.

Firefighters from Hove, Preston Circus, Roedean, Lewes, and Newhaven are currently in attendance alongside a Command Unit from Bexhill.

Crews are using Hose Reel Jets and wearing Breathing Apparatus to actively fight the fire.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed no other emergency services are present and there are no reports of casualties at this time.

The public has been asked to avoid the area while firefighters work, and those nearby are advised to close their windows and doors for safety.
