Man rescued from water near Brighton Pier

The Coastguard carried out the rescue yesterday evening

A man has been rescued between Brighton Marina and Pier after floating at sea.

The Coastguard carried out the rescue on Wednesday evening (18 June) after reports of someone in the water.

The boat he was in is thought to have experienced engine failure.

An HM Coastguard Rescue Helicopter was sent, alongside lifeboats from Shoreham and Brighton, and Coastguard Rescue Teams from Shoreham and Newhaven.
